hi
recently bought rome total war 2, the game runs but only at low graphics which is slow and pixalated.
my computer spec is: intel i5 2310 cpu 2.9 GHZ, ATI radeon HD 5450 graphic card and 8 GB of memory.
would i have to up rate my graphic card to play at a decent level?
thanks ben

Hi Ben,
Your i5 2310 is a decent cpu, while your video card is severely lacking; especially for Rome 2, if you want better graphics. I see on cpubenchmark.com that your video card is worth approx. $30.00. Below I will suggest three better cards ranging from $110-210.

$108.99 Radeon HD 7770
$129.99 Radeon HD 7790
$209.99 Radeon HD 7950

In my personal research for a gaming rig, I have found that these are the most cost/performance efficient cards. Others will give you more information, and verify whether or not these are appropriate solutions for you. Good luck!

Answer is simple its a definite yes, i had 5750 and it was somewhat ok but absolutly not for games like that.

My rig runs it fine on ultra, rome total war 2 needs to be patched so it works more efficiently, i also believe rome total war 2 is a CPU intense game

So its a hard call but you should get atleast high with a new GPU, you still can expect fps drops in battle but its somewhat vague at the moment why, it certainly needs patching.

Hope i have helped you with this post.

Anytime! still recommending a 7950 like me! its a beast, everything on ultra! anywayz your not the only one dissapointed here, even my rig has for no reason frame drops with lots of headroom!.

What i really really recommend is wait a month or so, AMD is releasing its new GPU's end of oktober, price drops imminent! its called hawaii/volcanic island google that, maybe it will alter your opinion.
