I am upgrading an old i3 machine to make it faster at photoshopping. Here are the options I have shortlisted:
Gigabyte Z87-M D3H + i5 4670K
Gigabyte Z87 D3HP + i5 4670
Gigabyte Z87X D3H + i5 4430
Gigabyte Z87X OC + i3 4130
Gigabyte G1 Sniper M5 + i3 4130
MSI Z87 G43 + 4670K + Hyper 212
MSI Z87 G45 Gaming + i5 4430
MSI MPower + i3 4130
Asrock Z87 Professional Fatal1ty + i3 4130
Maximus VI Gene + i3 4130
There is already an SSD in there but the 540 is still not competent enough.
Which of these options are the best for what I do?
Thanks.

Well if you overclock, get the 4670k (although for photoshop a 4770k would be better), if not then get a 4670 (or 4770). The 4 additional threads of the 4770 (k or non-k) will do you good in ps.

Price /Performance best choice is
GIGABYTE GA-B85-HD3 + Intel Core i7-4770K + CPU cooler.
Intel xeon 1230V3 do have HT + 8Treads so you can use that too if you can find cheap.
Xeon 1230V2 LGA 1155 is not bad choice. But then you need B-75 H77 or Z77 MoBo.
Look this test. http://extremespec.net/gigabyte-ga-b85-hd3-motherboard-review-design-testing-performance/3/

And GTX 760 look this. http://extremespec.net/zotac-geforce-gtx-760-review-design-testing-performance/3/

I just game and I'm building a new PC, 1920-1080 and i like Vsync. bf4 Cs:GO WoW. I already have a 660GTX, would you still suggest this mobo or is there a better option to go with ? I want a micro ATX so nothing bigger. I heard the i5 k series is enough, do i really need an i7? Id like to be able to OC in the future.

I think GTX 660 is good enough for now?Xeon is cheap same price as the i5 and it its better price vs performance.

Sure it do have HT + treads. But it is cooler than i5 so you do not to buy expensive aftermarket cooler. Or you can but then it is so silent that its hard to believe. i5 if you want OC and xeon if do not want to OC :) Easy choice :))
