AMD FX-6300 +Radeon HD 7950

So I have AMD Phenom II x4 965be and I'm going to get sapphire radeon HD 7950 I think my cpu will bottleneck even after OC. So would it be better to get fx-6300 to go along with the 7950 is that a good pair or will it bottleneck as well? Planning on playing BF 3 BF 4 Watchdogs and also playing valve games civ 5 and so on. Oh and if you want to know I have 8GB of RAM and 620W PSU

it is a good pair..but you will need to OC your 6300..just to make sure they dont bottleneck ...
or i would suggest you to get an FX 8350 and 7870XT..
7870xt is compared to 7900 chips as it has 1536 shaders, Tahiti based GPU

A FX 6300 and a 7950 will be a great combo! Also later on if you want to upgrade to a graphics card that's even better than the 7950 you can always upgrade the FX 6300 to something like a FX 8350. In my opinion this would be a great upgrade for you.

I can answer this question with great confidence because I use to own an fx 6100 at 4.8ghz. I later upgraded to an i7 3820, I saw very little performance gain at all with my overclocked 7950. So the 6300 with the 7950 will work wonderfully. Especially if you run on a 1920x1080 resolution.

What about the 8320? Cause it would be cheaper and I hear it isn't that of a downgrade from 8350

yeahh..you can get FX 8320.. it is also a good choice over 6300..
you can OC it in future and it will easily pass more than 8350 @ stock..

One more question though. My mobo is asrock 970 pro 3 Will the 8320 work how well on it?

So it will run well although it is 970 chipset? I heard from a Review of this mobo that 8 cores will not perform that great on it... So i'm scared... :D
