I do need this computer to be able to hook up to 2 monitors, at least one of which is a VGA connection. This is something controlled by the video card, right? Is this video card able to do that or can you suggest a different one that would be better?
I am on kind of a tight budget right now but things should be better in April. My laptop is on its way out so I need to replace it ASAP and would like to replace it with a machine with a bit more power and one that can be upgraded. Eventually I would like to have at least 16 GB of RAM but that's not in the budget right now.
I have a build in mind using both an SSD and a HD, I am open to losing one of those, since that's something I can add later. I do have a 1TB external HD I can use for file storage for now.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Laptop is dying and I need something that doesn't have so much lag while working on large documents in photoshop and that doesn't render quite so slowly in After Effects.
