I have a PSU that I ordered 2 years ago runs like a champ and I haven't had any issues with what I am currently running. It's a thousand watts so it shouldn't have a problem with what I plan on running. I am upgrading here soon and was just looking through my order history and decided to look at the specifics on it again. One of the things I read caught my eye and I need some help. I plan on going to a i5 more specifically the Intel Core i5-3570K but here is specifically what it said.

Support Intel Core i7 / Core 2 Quad / Core 2 Duo &
AMD Phenom X4 / Phenom X3 / Athlon 64 X 2 High Performance CPU

That's all it says it supports. What I have running right now is listed in that category, the Phenom X4. I know i7's and i5's differ but if it could support and i7 wouldn't it be able to support i5? Some i7's are also supported by the same socket as the i5 I plan on going to. Could it be that they failed to mention i5's in this or can this PSU really not support i5's?

If you need to look at the PSU to tell here it is. KINGWIN Lazer LZ-1000

Your 1000w PSU will support everything! That list is years out of date! To keep things in perspective, you can easily run an i5 on a quality branded 380w PSU with only 1x GFX card. So you've "only" got like 600w overhead :D Seriously, most people only own 400-600w PSU's and they run i5-3570k's just fine.
