hello guyz i am about to ordering gtx 760 msi, but i am scared because these days i am seeing lots of thread of, "GPUs not performing what they should" so, as i am buying the gpu for the first time and i don't want my money to be wasted so please tell me will my system can face any of those? and what are the possible reason for gpu not performing at their levels? eg- low fps , shutters etc.

current specs:

processr- intel core i5 2500k

mobo- intel dh67bl

psu - coolermaster thunder 500w [ will upgrade to a 600w psu after a month]

ram - 4gb

monitor- 32 inc lcd tv 1080p

hardisk - 500gb

any help would be appreciated!

Rule of thumb - if you're playing games spend as much as you can afford on your video card. Nothing is going to be future proof.

I guess I don't know what "not performing what they should" means. The video card will perform up to the level of what you purchased. You're not going to be limited by your processor or anything else that you've listed.

Don't be scared! MSI is a very good card manufacterer, your card will be fine :)  Your system will be able to handle a 760 just fine. Also, you might want to consider upgrading with another 4GB to 8GB of RAM. It's a relatively cheap and useful upgrade for gaming.
You don't need to upgrade your PSU for the 760 either, 500W will handle that system just fine. Unless you want to be future proof of course, in which case it might be a better idea to go for more than 600W

Yup nothing much to worry about your system will work great with that video card.

by mentioning "not performing what they should" i meant that for eg- gtx 760 not giving certain fps what it should give, and the likes of blues screen, random restarts so, what will i do in those situations?

so should i be able to play upcoming games like bf4, watch dogs at medium settings in 1080p?
as i heard bf4 requires 3gb gpu ram, or i should upgrade anything, is there any bottleneck?

You should be able to run those games perfectly, probably even in high or ultra settings. Also, your card should come with a 2 year warranty, so you can use that if the card doesn't do what it's supposed to do

You will be able to play at high settings most likely. Upgrades you should do are 4 more gigs of ram and possible an SSD but that is not needed just really nice. As for the blue screens and restarts that is not normal and you should return the video card if it starts happening after a new card.

As far as BF4 goes you might have to turn down the antialassing some to be able to run at max setting but that might be about all I think you should be just fine.

As said above MSI GPU's are good and you should not have any problems with it. I am going to keep using the same setup I have in my sig for the next gen games I had thought about upgrading my GPU's but since I built this rig in January I do not feel the need to upgrade again so I am hoping it will last another year or so. I do not think even the GTX 670's are outdated yet at least I hope not.

Although in the computer world it is really hard to future proof much because everything in the hardware market moves so fast by the time you buy something it is outdated it is just the way it goes.
