I already have 4gbs of ddr3-1800 ram on my motherboard and I want to upgrade to 8gb. The problem is ive looked for like 2 days now and I cant find anyone that sells ddr3-1800 that you dont have to buy at minimum 100 sticks. I could just buy 8gigs of 1600 mhz ram but im trying to spend as little as possible because I want the GTX 660.

Not sure if DDR3 1800 is an actual 'speed'.

DDR3- 1866 would be PC15000 or PC14900. Which is yours described as?

I think that is just a supported overclock on a lot of motherboards. Conceivably you could just buy 1866 and attempt to run it at the same speeds and timing as your existing ram. Or as you say, buy a whole new set.

That's a non standard speed .... are you perhaps reading BIOS and using a BCLK OC ?
