save picture folder sorting prefrences

i want to know if there is a way that i can save my folder preferences to sort by date when i open the folder. I have a folder that greenshot saves all my screenshots to and since the folder has a lot of pictures in it, it takes a while to load. I usually use the arrange by date option on this folder but i have to wait for it to load all of the pictures as thumbnails and then right click to choose the sorting option.

I just tried that on my Win7 machine, and changes to the sort order survive through going to a different folder and back, or closing Windows Explorer completely, then opening and navigating to that folder.

Not sure why yours doesn't do that.

sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, it may not survive through sleep mode or power off. ive done some research online and it seems to be the same with other users as well
