Hi I m upgrading my PC or going for a full new build. Here are the specs: 8gig ocz reaper 1600mhz 9-9-9-24, 1tb samsung spinpoint f4 7200rpm sata III, AM3+ motherboard ASUS crosshair formula 980fx , AMD phenom x6 1090t am3 cpu, HD 6850 ATI 1gb gpu, 750w corsair power supply and the ugliest case you may have seen to house it all. I think the ram cpu hdd and mobo are fine... i was wanting to stick a £600 gpu in there. But are my specs too low to warrant an awesome card? The motherboard im using is only PCI-E 2.0 and the newer epic cards are 3.0. Would it all be in vain as my hardware is somewhat lacking ? If i was going to build a new machine i'd defs go intel and nvidia way of things.

Just upgrade your GPU. The Phenom X6 1090T it still a VERY powerful CPU. I would recommend getting something like a GTX 760/770 and it doesn't matter that your MoBo only has PCI-E 2.0 because the newer cards are backward compatible.

Coolermaster GX 750W 80+ Bronze PSU. Yeah i think its in the bracket for upgrading rather than buying a whole new system. Thanks mystery inc. Ill wait till next month and purchase a new gpu, as i think they are going to bring out a new range of cards.
