Hello everyone, I've posted not long time ago here asking for help with my build. You can read original post here: my old post
After reading comments and continue my own research in parallel, my build have completely changed, so I've decided to just open a new discussion.

Summary:
Budget: ~$1400 (Can add a hundred or so, if it's really worth it)
Primary use: Heavy gaming, light/medium video editing, high resolution image editing.
Overclocking: Maybe, but not too much.

Things that changed from my previous build, yet was able to keep in the same budget =)
- Upgraded CPU and Motherboard to 1150 and gen 4.
- Added CPU cooler
- Lowered SSD drive to 120gb
- Smaller Case for better airflow
- Changed GPU manufacturer
- PSU went from 750W to 650W but upgraded to "Gold Certified"
- Got memory with lower case speed: 7 instead of 9

This is what I've came up with:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($239.79 @ DirectCanada)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX)
Motherboard: Asus Z87-PLUS ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($160.24 @ DirectCanada)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($86.49 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($133.07 @ DirectCanada)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($119.79 @ DirectCanada)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($418.12 @ Newegg Canada)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case ($101.95 @ Amazon Canada)
Power Supply: Corsair Professional 650W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($109.99 @ Memory Express)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.99 @ Canada Computers)
Total: $1419.42

Rev 1:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($239.79 @ DirectCanada)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX)
Motherboard: Asus Z87-PLUS ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($160.24 @ DirectCanada)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($86.49 @ Newegg Canada)
+ Storage: Samsung 840 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($99.79 @ DirectCanada)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($119.79 @ DirectCanada)
+ Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($299.99 @ NCIX)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case ($101.95 @ Amazon Canada)
+ Power Supply: Corsair Professional Gold 650W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($94.88 @ Canada Computers)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.99 @ Canada Computers)
Total: $1252.90

Please let me know your comments guys. I'm mostly unsure about the video card and motherboard, probably mainly because there are so many choices and opinions about them. But I'd like to hear any suggestion about any parts.

Thank you in advance!

the 840 regular is crap in terms of write speeds and overall endurance compared to a proper mainstream drive

no benefit of the asus one other than you have more weight and that it costs more while running hotter

there is no like factor in choosing a psu. its about functionality rather than like. adding a hundred watts does nothing

Alright, but Asus is $100 cheaper lol, I'll change my SSD to get better write speeds. And I'll take a look around to find better PSU
