GTA V On Xbox 360 - annoying graphics

This has been annoying me for a while now on other games as well, not just gta v. But on GTA v, it's most noticeable. I think it's my tv settings or my HDMI cable.

Basically, things up close look alright such as cars when you're driving them. But it's like all the graphical detail has been concentrated on the car and everything else looks like crap :p they have these weird, pixelly lines that look like they need smoothing out and the trees and other objects look bad as well. Don't get me wrong, the game is still playable, but it's just really bugging me D:
I also followed all instructions on the second install disc that came with the game before I put in the play disc. However, after, I installed the play disc straight away. I then later found out that rock star recommends not installing the play disc. So, I uninstalled it. I don't know if I just didn't notice it before, but this is when the game started looking crappy.
I wish I had a screenshot for you guys, if you have any help for me or anyone has the same problem, please reply!

This is just the way Rockstar create their games, on both Xbox and PS3. They lack anti-aliasing severely.

Which in turn causes the "pixelly lines that need smoothing out". Unfortunately there's not much that can be done.

I have the same problem. I didn't install disc two (play disc), but the gameplay is revealing some texture and shade issues i can't describe well. some textures are kinda like the "negative" of a photo or something like that. color is not consistent in all parts. I am thinking its a problem with the console's lens maybe, but i'm not sure at this point.

Your gaming on a 8 year old console thats outdated so games wont look as good plus the lack of aa which makes it worse. Most of us is waiting for the pc version but as others has said its nothing much you can do

I have almost the same problem, but my console is from 2011

That's really beside the point. The specs in a console from 2011 will still be the same as one from 2005.. Well almost anyway. The performance will be about the same.

I have the same problem with ps3. You have to install the game because it is on a bluray and there is much more space on blurays. But there is a chance it's my ps3 because it just gave me the yellow light if death and won't turn on now.

Played it at a friend's house on the PS3 and yes it's simply a lack of AA in the game. It's really obvious that Rockstar pushed the PS3/Xbox consoles to their limitations with this game. It's quite an achivement with only 256mb video ram available actually. There are some areas where the fps drops noticable on the PS3 (~20 fps) for some seconds. There is no way this game would run smoothly with any AA enabled.

This is because Rockstar uses 16 bit colors in the game for certain textures and not 32 bit. It has nothing to do with consoles. Some will notice more than others depending perhaps on their darkness and gamma settings with their televisions. Some TV's set to a "Gaming Mode" may make it better or worse. Try adjusting brightness/gamma on your television is my best answer. If you don't believe me, look at 16 bit color pictures vs 32 bit color pictures, I'm sure you will understand quite quickly what I'm talking about. There is not likely going to be a patch for this.
