Hi,

My 4770k is OC'd at 4.3GHz
It idles in the 30's (celcius) and physics benches push it to 70's but when I do rendering in 3ds Max I hit 88 degrees (100% usage, fans go crazy).

I have a Coolermaster V4 GTS CPU Cooler installed.

Are these temps a problem? Is this bad for long periods of rendering? If so, I can't afford a new cooler right now, so should I lower my clock?

Thanks!:)

Get one water cpu cooler, because you OC the CPU to 4.3Mhz, the temp hit 88C (100% usage) is normal, the i7-4770K can create a lot of heat. You need the water cpu cooler to cool it down not the air cooler. Because I don't use water cooler I can't recommend one to you. But I add one link here you can check it out, or you can do some research too.
