Hey guys, i have been a PC gamer pretty much all my life, and i mostly play cod ad other FPSes. I am getting sick of the lack of people online (hard to find a Bo2 match) and how much harder people are to play against (to be fair i am a pretty good play with a kd of 2ish in Bo2). Is it worth switching?

It depends on your level of humility.

I was a fairly decent Crysis 1 player.

I got Crysis 2 for my daughter on the PS3. It’s a fundamentally different experience. The graphics are not as good (IMHO) and the controls take getting used to. If you always been a PC gamer, switching to a yolk from a keyboard will humble you. Especially if the game tries to pit you against player who have similar stats. You will not be able to play up to your old skill level for a while and will likely get some trollage.

PC gamers don't play garbage like Call of Duty, if you want people to play with in call of duty you're only going to get it on a console.

Controller isn't as good as KB/M for first person shooters, but you will get used to it, everyone has same hardware and controllers so it comes down to purely skill on a console.

Also, why not just get BF4 which comes out soon? Better community, better game, better experience.

Every time I sign into Black ops 2 there is like 20,000 people online so I don't see why you can't find people to play with. If your KDR is around a 2.0, you shouldn't be complaining that the game is harder on PC because that's a good KDR. If you play on consoles you are going to run into a lot more 10 year olds so that might make it easier.

It should go without saying that I am referring to any Call of Duty after Modern Warfare One. Modern Warfare "1" and all the previous iterations were good games, but now it's just a copy and paste. It's a kids game for people who instant gratification without thinking.

Of course it's opinion, but the general PC gaming community mostly seems to agree Call of Duty has become garbage.

I actually gave Black Ops 2 a chance and bought it in the spur of the moment, it was fun for an hour or two mindlessly play online, but then you just see how nothings changed besides the theme.

I agree Black ops 2 is garbage, but I still have fun playing nuketown on the first black ops, even after 800 plus hours.

As games get older, normally only the elite stay to play them online (thats becouse they like the competition and the harder it gets the more they like it).

That means that in 90% of the cases, a game will last you some time before only hardcore gamers are left.
This is what all game studios count on, as this way they keep selling basicly the same expirience with a different cover.

You might find more fun in games that are CO-OP based, but still have a decent level of dificulty (warframe is quite fun in this regard).

I dont think console gamers are much different in this regard. I mean, if they are very competitive in a game they will probably stay, and if they are not, they will probably leave.

I've been a PC gamer all of my life although I own(ed) a PS2. Never got around buying a PS3 because I was a poor student at that time but I think I may get a PS4 simply because of certain game categories like car and fighting games. Games that just works best on a console.
Also, like you I'm a bit annoyed of some games lacking population in the multiplayer area in the PC version. I'm mainly thinking about GTA IV here. It's almost impossible to find any GTA IV multiplayer games for PC these days!. I want the full GTA V experience and I'm not sure the PC version will satisfy my multiplayer needs with GTA V.

Also consoles are more social available to play with friends. I will always be a PC nerd since it just looks better and First Person Shooters belongs to the PC but it is damn fun to kick back in the couch and play with your friends instead of sitting around a desk.

moving from pc gaming to console gaming does not worth it for any reason.Multiplayer for me on pc has satisfied me..besides..on pc there are so many mods to use for your games that increase your gameplay experience.
I do like consoles because they get exlusive games. But this is not enough to convince me to have one.
it is true that you cannot find gta iv multiplayer games but have in mind that there are multiplayer mods on pc with many people (SA MP).I aborted this game 1 month ago (college) and i was playing on a server that had at least 800 players daily.

For some reason I couldn't figure out, which multiplayer mods are most popular. To be honest I don't really have the time to download tons of mods to figure out, which ones are the best. I searched a couple of times and just thought: "F'''' it, I'll just play another game". I only want to play the best ones :).. So SA MP is the hot stuff for GTA IV?

And still, choosing to play on a console is totally depending on the game you want to play IMO... And also the ability to play split screen with friends. Whether or not you don't like consoles there are some benefits and advantages... So why not own both if you can afford it ;)
