I have been looking for a while, 3 weeks so far... during my free time, for the best performance pc I could build without expending too much, I have not a definitive budget but i dont want to go over the 1000.
The use is mainly for home office, a bit of raw picture processing and gaming. As well I wanted to have a small case, it suits better for my place. So far I have thought for the next pc the following:

prices are in CHF almost 1=1 with USD

  • ■ Intel Core i5 4570 BOX, 3.2GHz, LGA 1150, 4C/4T 207

    ■ BitFenix Prodigy - Mini ITX, white 85

    ■ Corsair TX750 V2, 750W, 80Plus Bronzewa 114

    ■ Gigabyte GA-Z87N-WIFI, LGA1150, Mini ITX 151

    ■ Corsair Vengeance, 8GB, DDR3-1600, CL9@1.5V 87

    ■ Antec H2O 620 Liquid Cooling System 67

    ■ Samsung SSD 840 EVO Desktop, TLC, 120GB, SATA- 129

Total 840

I still need a video card but I have not choose the one yet.

I look forward to receive your comments about it and all suggestions are very welcome, as I told before, this is my first system, and I am not an expert.

All the best

The H20 620 is not one of the better liquid coolers. Both above comments are valid. If you are getting it with an eye to the next CPU you plan to get ... don't. Get a Coolermaster 212. more than enough, less than half the price.
other than that, looks good.

Also consider a refurbed SSD, should be able to get a good 120gb for $75.

Buy the best GPU you can afford. Nvidea or Radeon doesn't make much difference these days.

Agree drop the water cooler and get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO instead.

As for the SSD while some things I could recommend getting a refurbished part a SSD is not one of them.

As for a GPU I would normally recomend a HD 7950/7970 or a GTX 760/770 but I am not sure about putting one of those in such a small case. I have never built a rig with anything smaller than a Full Tower so am not really sure about how well it would do about getting rid of the heat.
