Okay guys I can not seem to catch a break here. I sent my old HD 6970 back and today finally got it back to use with my new LG 23" 10-Point Touch Monitor. I have a Monster HDMI Cable connecting this GPU to this LG Monitor. Now the problem I am having is that it will NOT fit the screen.

I have already done my own research and played around with the GPU and Monitor Settings with no hope. The screen actually looks very good now but has to fit the screen for the Touchscreen to work properly. As many of you probably already know LG's customer service is garbage. They are suppose to be open today but the Live Chat and Phone Support have been closed all day. Not sure if they just decided to take the day off or what.

Anyway I put in the Driver CD for this Monitor and I have to force start it from "My Computer" then I run through a couple of tasks and I get a message that says "No INF File found in the current directory" then after I click "Ok" it pops up with "Installation Failed". I am using a HDMI Cable to connect the two and read in another forum that some screens will never fully take up the screen with the correct resolution. This really scares me because when I select some of the smaller resolutions it will fit the entire screen like it should.

By the way the correct resolution is suppose to be at 1920x1080 for this Monitor. When I set it to some of the smaller resolutions that will fit the entire screen you can tell it looks sort of crappy too. So what can I do to fix this? Am I screwed for using an HDMI Cable with this Monitor? I really was looking forward to using it to get the best out of my games.

EDIT:
Also do you guys think that the Driver CD not working is the problem? I sort of doubted it, but there might be something important on there that makes it fill the screen or something maybe? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well first off you should always get the newest drivers from the manufacture as the drivers on the CD that come with any component are usually out of date.

So for your AMD go to www.amd.com and get the latest drivers. Then you will need to go into CCC and find the setting for GPU scaling and that should fix the problem.

I can't remember the exact setting since I have not used AMD cards in a few months. But play around with the settings and you should be able to find it.

Again though get the newest drivers from AMD first.

I was just about to reply to this telling you that I have already tried this. I thought that before I did so that I better play around with everything in there really fast again to be sure. So I found something called "Scaling Options" under the "My Digital Flat-Panels" and you can force the screen to "Overscan" or "Underscan". In my case taking it to the max "Overscan" setting made the GPU make the screen full for some reason. I thought that this may not work since it has to be 100% perfect to work with this Touchscreen due to the sort of sliding functions it has where you start outside of the bezel and move into the screen to get certain hidden menus to appear.

So anyway this really seems like it fixed my issue and everything seems to still be looking pretty sharp so far so I do not think stretching the screen in this case distorted my picture. So yeah I am going to play some games and mess around with this and come back but I think that BryonHowley (???) is right. You can probably fix most resolution based issues in "Appearance" in the Windows Control Panel or from running ccc.exe or better said playing around with the resolution settings in your GPU's menu. I would definitely say good luck if you are having a color problem though because I could not even diagnose the problem I had with mine so just switched to HDMI. The resolution issue is just a matter of trying to make the screen fit properly without losing picture quality.

Any way do not pat your self on the back yet as I will probably be back within the next 48 hours needing more help. Though for now, thanks for the aid.
