Hello all- So I just received all the components to build my first PC except for my case. My case shipped separately and the UPS truck was involved in a serious wreck and caught fire- so no case for me today. So I have a new case on its way but don't want to wait to get it before "preparing" my system. I wanted to build the components (probably without the graphics card) on the motherboard box like I have seen in Youtube videos when people first check for the post install beep from the motherboard. Would this harm my components if left like this long enough to install Windows/Updates/AntiVirus basically just for tonight?
