So My dad got a new computer and he wanted me to put his old video card into his new computer and this video card should work with this new computer. When I put it in and started up the computer the monitor wasn't receiving a signal. So I tried plugging the cable into the Integrated graphics card still get the no signal message. When I take the video card out everything works like it should. I know the video card works because i plugged it into the old computer and it worked fine. The video card is a GeForce 430GT.

Solution
If dad new pc uses a standard oc pick up a 430w cosair there 25 online when not on sale. If he going to game on the pc buy a good 650 watt unit to handel a gaming gpu.
If the new pc has a low wattage power supply it may be to low to turn on with a gpu. Look at the wattage of the unit and the 12 v line. Check that the pc bios is up to date to rule out bios bug. If your dad rig is an amd pc with an amd apu it may need a amd card to run right. Mixing amd and nvidia gpu can cause issues.
