Hello, I have a friend that just upgraded his sound card and is giving away a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty and I wanted to know if it would be better than my onboard sound. I have the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0. I use my computer for gaming/videos/movies/music and mainly use a headset because I am in ventrilo alot. I am not sure what other info to tell so please let me know if you need more info.

Thanks for reading and helping,
John

Pretty much any dedicated sound card would be better than the onboard audio on that motherboard. That Fatal1ty is going to be lightyears better in sound quality.

Cheers
yep, dedicated would be better, but personally i dont like creative. they have a history of bad drivers, i mean bad. Asus sound cards are good, and they have products from cheap to high end cards. but that is just me, i have one asus, it's ~$100 i think
