Among these 3 monitors which will be the best for gaming and HD movies,
my main requirement is High Image quality for games and movies.
1. Dell UltraSharp U2412M
2. Samsung s24c750p
3. HP PAvilion 25xi

Is the 1st option ' Dell UltraSharp U2412M ' a Full HD monitor ?

Current system specs :

Asus P8H77VLE motherboard
Intel core i5 3570 cpu (3.4 GHz)
Asus GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB DDR5 Graphics card
8 GB 1600 MHz Corsaire Vengance Ram
XFX 650 watt Pro series PSU

I am not a high end Gamer but I play all modern games will be playing all upcoming ones on max resolution (1920x1080p or 1920x1200). So, minute performance lag due to the monitor refresh rate and other factors wont be a issue for me.

Full HD is 1920x1080. The Dell is capable of 1920x1200, so it will also be capable of 1920x1080, either stretched or with small black bars at top and bottom (for a Dell, choosing between those should be in the monitor settings, but you can also do it with video card settings).

Picture clarity will be the same across all three if you use the black bars on the Dell (less if you use the "stretched" option), and calibrate the sharpness on whichever one you choose (http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/sharpness.php can help with that).

I'd expect picture quality to be the best on the Dell, but I don't know how obvious the difference would be. This review might help you decide:

I will go for the Samsung since it has the lowest response time, 5ms vs 8ms on the dell and 7ms on the HP.......and its 24 inch instead of the 25 inch HP, so same resolution but lower size = more pixels per inch at the samsung

I am familiar with the specs of these 3 monitors. Among the 3 listed above, the only one I haven't seen physically on display is the 'Dell U2412M' . So, if you could give any suggestion regarding the Dell U2412M that would be very helpful as because I am preferring that. But I want to know where it is Full HD or not and will it be better for HD movies and games than the other two considering picture clarity and quality?
