I just got it today and did the following hings: 1. Plugged the computer into an outlet.

2. Plugged the monitor in followed by the mouse and keyboard.

3. I powered it up and put in the recovery disk by accident during the os installion.

4. I put speakers in and have seen the monitor with this message: "monitor is going to sleep."

Please help me. Just 750 dollars on this computer and monitor. Reply to me quickly.

Try connecting through the motherboards output if you haven't yet. If that hasn't done anything try reseating cable's and cards connection ect.. in your pc, something could've been loosened during delivery.

It continues running, but the monitor just keeps going into sleep mode so I don't know if it goes into windows.

The specs are the following:

AMD Fx-6100

Radeon 7770

The rest is unknown. sorry. I have tried a different monitor but still no progress. The monitor I have is an HP LV1911. It doesn't have an HDMI port I can plug in so is that the issue?
