Hi guys, lately I built a new spec, and as you can see, I chose the ASUS Maximus Hero VI, and MSI GTX 760 GPU.
So I thought to myself, will I get any advantages for having both ASUS products?
Thanks a lot guys.

The quick answer is yes, you are less likely to have issues with motherboards and video cards if they are made by the same manufacture because what do you think they use when they do in-house testing? sometimes some manufactures make video cards that won't post on other motherboards like a evga video card and a gigabyte motherboard will sometimes have problems posting together because of the bio's on the evga video card, and the motherboard. The next thing would be you get would have less to install for your asus utilities. in my opinion I always look at what cooler are people getting the best temps with, like for my I chose the evga acx cooler for my video cards because I found it to be the sexiest video card that I have ever seen...

So you for the main advantages would be same manufacture means if for some freakish reason both go bad you only need to call one place for rma. two would be knowing they have been tested together by the manufacture so you know they work, and 3 would be only having to go to one place for your drivers downloads and utilities. Sorry if this was long

Sorry, i don't share this point of view.

PCIe are standarts and all GPUs works with all the boards with the requirements, i have along the years a lot of cards and mainboards and never have any problem with them being from diferent manufacturers.

No, you will not get any relevant advantage.
