Updating drivers for Nvidia on Asus

Hi,
I have an Asus UL30VT with Nvidia GForce G210M.

I would like to update my drivers, but the Nvidia homepage tells me I should download the drivers from the Asus homepage. This would not be an issue except their drivers haven't been updated since 2009/10.

Can I safely update the drivers manually form the Nvidia homepage or will that just create issues for me?

Why do you have to download the drivers from ASUS ? Just get them from this page : http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Select GeForce 200M Series and your OS and you can DL them.

If you don't want to do it manually like this each time there is an update, download Nvidia experience from there : http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download to keep your drivers up to date and also optimize your games.

The reason I go to the Asus homepage is because Nvidia tells me to after having done an automatic scan.

When trying to do a manual update, after having found the latest driver (320.49), the installer tells me it "could not find compatible graphics hardware".

I have earlier tried to use the Nvidia Experience but it tells me I don't fulfill the system requirements, for some reason.

Any other tips?

Try to install the ones from Asus then try again with Nvidia maybe
