I have a Corsair 550w

Solution
i have a similar question. I went to this website and for my setup it is recommending 815watt psu (http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine)

my system:

intel i7 2600k at 4.0 (planning 4.5)
msi matx z77 g-45
2x4GB 1600 patriot gaming memory
nvidia gtx 680
2 7200rpm hdd
1 128GB intel 320 series SSD
1 dvd burner
1 bluetooth usb dongle
1 200mm led fan
3 120mm regular fans
1 xspc x20 750 pump

my psu is a 750w corsair hx series
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010)

From what i've read other places it seems like people are comfortable with less power, and i'm just wondering if someone who is a seasoned over clocker can tell me if i'm pushing enough power for that 4.5 oc, or should i upgrade my PSU. any...

It is a VS550

Oh ok, that is a rather low efficiency power supply. If it has already been purchased, don't worry about it. If you are purchasing a PSU, I suggest this:

Top notch quality. However, if you already have the PSU, then I wouldn't worry too much, as the parts you have listed will top out at a little over 400w. Just do not go crazy with overclocking.

i see from your toms credentials that i feel like you know what your talking about. so then do you think that psu calculator website is just getting paid to tell people they need more power? Do you think I could add a 2nd gtx 680 to that and still be okay? as I plan on doing that in the future as well
