So I had a GT240, which died, so since my budget was tight I got a GT630. Its not a great card but I know it can play my favourite games like DC Universe Online, TF2 decently. My Old card didnt give any problems and it ran smoothly. But the new card is lagging.

My Specs
==========
Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.2 GHz
GT630 2GB DDR3
P5G41C-M LX - ASUS Motherboard
300W non branded PSU
2GB DDR3 RAM

Yeah my specs are old but really hard to get good hardware at low prices in third world :(

Theres people like this guy who are running Crysis 2 on this processor and graphics card

I'm lost, don't know how to fix this lag, please help.

Solution
that video is bullsh!t, it would run like crap on that system, especially in DX11 mode at 1080p. Even with a good graphics card Crysis 2 would run poorly due to the slow cpu. Also the gt240 is a dx9 card, so it cant run the newer dx11 features, but those features also require more processing and slow thing sdown. make sure your running in dx9 mode.
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-630/specifications there are also different versions of the 630. A ddr3 or ddr5 version, the ddr3 version would be much slower. and the oem version that has much slower memory but a little more processing power.

First of all, using a generic PSU is dangerous. If you have the budget, you might want to buy a trustworthy PSU like: Seasonic, Corsair, or XFX.

Secondly, did you uninstall GT420 drivers before installing the GT630? You should always uninstall the drivers of your previous card before installing the new one.

Yeah I reinstalled windows just to make sure again and instaled latest nvidia drivers. But the problem persists.

My card may not be the best but its supposed to be similar or better than my GT240 which ran games smoothly on low-med settings also it was in my budget so I bought it. :(

Will upgrading PSU remove the lag?

Thanks all and especially "iam2thecrowe". I tried running game in Dx 9 mode. Turns out the game was running in full res as well, but I hadn't noticed cuz I hadn't played on C2Duo for a year. I was playing on my i5 laptop for a year on full settings. Now I can go back to playing my favourite game at med settings, thats all I ask ^_^.

You should have roughly 4GB of ram a good CPU at 2.6ghz+ for gaming. Plenty of cooling and good PSU. i run a Geforce GT 630 2gb DDR3 and i put max settings and i run through anything you put at it. it may lag due to high res, max settings may need to be lowed to medium, upgrade your ram, and CPU add ALOT of cooling to it will help alot trust me.

my settings:
CPU: Intel core2 duo 2.6ghz
RAM: 7gb DDR2
PSU: Coolmaster 600w
MB: asus p5q-vm
GFX CARD: PNY GeForce GT 630 2gb edition
Cooling: 10 fans (5 case, 1cpu with HS, dual 70mm pci slot card cooler, gfx card fan 80mm, and a 120mm fan on PSU

no lag, no issues on my unit and it does a beast job.
