Hi,
I need some advice. I built a budget pc to game on and for running XBMC. I have been creating gameplay videos for youtube and due to incompatibility I am now also using Vegas 12 to edit videos on the pc (I use macs ordinarily).

To date most everything I own runs fine on high or ultra but recently I have been playing Arma 3 and want to create a series. The problem I have is that running fraps with Arma 3 I get poor frame rates and laggy videos. It does seem to be only Arma 3 I have the issue with but if I could speed up rendering that would be good too.

So here is the issue, I have £0 budget and will need to save for everything so what do I work on first?

I currently have:
Intel i3 550 cpu
Gigabyte GA-H55-UD3H 1156 motherboard
GSkill F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL (8 GB, DDR3 SDRAM, 1600 MHz
AMD/ATI Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 DX11 (1024 MB)

So should I upgrade the CPU first, the RAM or the Graphics card and if the graphics card should I get another 6850 in crossfire or something else entirely? Maybe I should sell the lot and build something else? Just need advice on what to do now, not what I should have done.

Thanks in advance
Minki

In your situation I believe the i5 would be the better choice as if you are on a tight budget the i5 provides significantly better 'bang for buck'.

Thank you, do you think the i7 is worth the extra money over the i5?
