Crossfire frame pacing doesn't work on DirectX 9 games, OpenGL games, or multiple monitors. In those situations, your performance will feel like a single GPU. Crossfire also has a long history of poor driver support for many new and even older but very popular titles.

Here's what Guru3d had to say about GTX 760s in SLI on the other hand:
"As always it is nice to see what kind of number a SLI combo manages to out in terms of framerates. Interesting is that two of these cards are priced roughly 40% lower then say a GeForce GTX Titan, yet you'll hover at roughly the same performance. ... But fair enough, over time NVIDIA has done a great job, micro-stuttering is a thing of the past and there are hardly any driver issues. And with triple A game titles, NVIDIA will have a driver for you at launch day ensuring your multi-GPU solution is supported."

Neither. Avoid xfire/sli like aids. There is terrible support gaps in the gaming industry. If you want reliable minimum frames go with a single gpu. Besides good luck finding a real 16x16 board worth buying.
