Hi I'm new to PC gaming and would like to build my own computer from scratch but need some help in picking parts and getting the best value for money, the parts I have chosen are:

Asus 2GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 650Ti Boost £138.96

AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache £86.04

LiteOn IHAS120-04 20x SATA Super AllWrite Half Height Internal DVDRW £12.61

Western Digital 1TB internal Hard Drive - Caviar Blue (3.5 inch)£49.97

Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard (AMD 970/SB950, DDR3, 6 x S-ATA 600, ATX, PCI-Express 2.0, USB 3.0, Socket AM3+) £58.54

OCZ OCZ-ZS550W-UK 550W ZS Series 550W 80+ Bronze PSU with 135mm Fan & single +12V Rail £41.00

Need WiFi card

G.Skill 8GBXL Main Memory DDR3 8 GB PC1600 CL9 Ram Kit 2x 4 GB £57.98

I would like to use this PC to play most games on high/ultra settings with good framerate. I was wondering if i needed anything else (I already have mouse + keyboard etc.)
I know I am missing a case and would like an affordable case that wouldn't require me to buy extra fans. I was also wondering if all this is compatible and if any alternatives would fair better in this build or any similar cheaper parts would be available as I am trying to cut costs as much as possible without a major affect on the performance, even a completely different build that is solid but affordable would do. I also would like to play on my 32" HD LCD tv until i can afford a monitor and was wondering if that could work. Would like all parts to be cheaper from the UK as I am not prepared to order parts from anywhere outside the EU.
Thanks in advance,
Alex

A. A 650 ti boost will max few games on ultra with even just 4x AA, ie in black ops 2 at 1920x1200 your looking at no more then 100 FPS on small maps.

B. The CPU is far to weak for most games.

C. The PSU is of Ultra-Low Quality.

D. Im betting your TV is 720P, and is going to look terrible for your Games. not to mention how the pixels are spaced differently, but it will do for now.

All you need other then this is Windows, i suggest the freebie 8.1 preview.
Also, you can ditch the wireless adapter if you can run at lan cable, patch cables are quite cheap now,
you can also ditch the HDD if you have one, but its a very good drive.

Thanks for the reply however I stated no parts from outside the EU as I live in the UK.
I am prepared to buy extra fans if it means it ill help keep my PC cool and QUIET.
Looking for more answers and setups cheers!

You are completely incorrect. At 1900x1200 a gtx650ti boost will not max any mordern games at all. More like medium/high AT BEST.

The fx-6300 is easily more than enough for modern games. I have a friend with an fx-6300 and a gtx760 and the CPU does not hold him back in any games at all.

For games? Doesn't matter. the GPU does 85% of the work to the CPUs 15% so whatever GPU you have will make the difference.

An fx-6300 and a gtx 760 will blow away an i5 4670k and an hd7850.

The GPU is the most important thing by far.

Your completely incorrect.

Anything a GTX 660 can do, a 650 ti boost can do at ~4-5 frames less.

I would like to know what games he plays, ever play planet side 2? When i still had a 650 ti boost, and a no OC 4670K, i got ~70 FPS. The cpu's cores are weak, especially compared to a i5, let alone a 4930K or a 4960X, also 6 cores. Try playing a open world game like GTA 4 or Sleeping dogs with a 6300 and a 7950 vs a 4670K and a 7870.

The 4670 + 7870 will always win.
