I recently built a new PC for the first time, I have plugged in the GPU and connected the VGA (through a DVI to VGA adapter) to the TV, no signal. I then tried the HDMI slot, no signal. I try the MoBo VGA slot, no signal. All the fans spin up and there are no beeps, I have scoured the web to no avail, please help. When I say no signal I literally mean no signal. Nothing, no bios, no booting screen just a blue screen with no signal in the middle (like if I have nothing plugged in.)

Look on msi web page for your mb. Make sure the mb bios is at a rev that post your CPU.
On the mb check that he eight or four pin CPU power plug is connected. It be near the CPU or the edge of the mb.

Do a few simple checks....start with looking under the mb...see that you used the standoffs to keep the mb from shorting out. Check that the heat sink not shorting out or the metal io shield.
On your gpu check to see if both power plugs are filled if the card has two. Check that the ram is in the right slots and is seated. Look on the mb there should be so diag led. See if there working if nothing working try a test power supply to see if the new one is bad.

Nope, still nothing. Any chance this good be the monitor? btw this is my first ever build, so I have noting to test to see if parts are working. I just finished installing everything now. Is there any chance the monitor could be the problem as it's not an actual monitor, just a TV.
