My new PC is having graphics problems it shouldn't have. It lakes on the higher settings of games like Wargame Airland Battle and Planetside 2. It can play games like L.A noire and shogun 2 smoothly, but it plays them at a lower graphics setting even though I put it on the highest. Here are my specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
8112MB RAM
AMD RadeonHD 8970M
P.S, even though it has the AMD as a graphics card, when I go to the dxdiag, it only shows the Intel 4600, and no AMD. Might help isolate the problem a bit.

Hi there! I'm not sure if you've done so already, but try the following:

1. Use the AMD Catalyst Un-install utility
http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/catalyst-uninstall-utility.aspx
(should remove any Catalyst drivers)
2. Reboot, and make sure the integrated GPU is still disabled. Run dxdiag again to double check is not enabled.
3. Install the latest Catalyst driver:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
4. In Step 1, select "Notebook Graphics", and in Step 2 select "Auto Detect and Install"

I hope the above helps
