I'll try to explain my situation the best I can.

Right now I have a computer in room A in the basement, this is the main computer. This is where I get internet access through my cable modem, and this is where I have the first router setup as part of a bridge that links this computer to the htpc in room B also in the basement, connected to a 2nd router that ends the bridge connection. Right now both of these computers can share internet and files wirelessly without any problems.

Now, I bought a new television that is on the main floor (one floor up from the basement) and a WD TV to stream the 1080p content I have on my htpc in the basement (was cheaper than to get another htpc). It works well but then sometimes it stutters and I lose the connection since it's 1080p through wifi with the WD TV built in wifi.

Now this is what I'm thinking and want to do. I want to connect the WD TV directly to the HTPC in the basement to stream wired, I will simply get an ethernet cable through the walls and it will be nice and clean. The thing is, I'm not sure how to connect it. To stream directly from the htpc, can I just plug the wd tv into the LAN 2 from the router I have besides the htpc? (the htpc is plugged in LAN 1 of that same router) Or it's much more complicated than this?

Hopefully I've explained it well enough, if not I will try to make it clearer if asked.

Thank you very much

Thank you very much, so I just plug the wire into the LAN port fromt that 2nd router that the htpc is connected through it and it will stream wired? That's exactly what I wanted, very nice.

The cable will be 100 ft long, will this have an effect on the transfer rate?
