Hi, iv'e recently been having a very strange issue with my PC not turning on when i press the power button. It doesn't always do it but sometimes i can press the button then it will randomly turn on after 30 seconds. I can fix this issue by turning off the power supply at the back twice then it will turn itself on.

As soon as this first happened i thought "Great... PSU is dead" but once it turned on i was confused so i ran a few intensive games for a few hours (Far Cry 3, BF3 and Diablo 3) to see if the PC would crash. Nothing happened and the PC seems to be functioning fine.

I have also checked the voltage displayed in CPUID Hardware monitor (http://puu.sh/4vcUV.png) and they seem fine to me.

The only issue i have ever had with this PC was a random USB error that made no sense. I was being told there was a surge on the USB hub controller but i tested every bit of equipment in a different PC and it was fine, then i tested it back into my PC in every USB slot and it was fine. The error disappeared after 2 days and hasn't appeared since. However, sometimes i get the sound that you get when you plug in a USB device and remove a USB device but i have now disabled this and tested all the USB slots again and there is no issue. The only thing i have not tested is my H100i via Corsair link, i have only tried to change the LED color and it works flawlessly.

This issue is very strange to me and i really don't understand what is happening. Any input would be great and ideally i don't want to have to test my PSU in another machine as it works perfectly once the system is on.

Thanks in advance, Jordan.

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77x-UD5H

Sounds like a faulty wire, if it is doing that, i would either send it back in and get it replaced or buy a new one ASAP, never know with those wires what can spark a fire. :) Still its really rare that would happen to a Corsair Power Supply.
