Hello fellas,

I recently got a new system and the configurations are within the spoiler.
Spoiler

Main Board: ASUS BM75M-A
Processor: Intel Core i3-3220 @3.30 GHz
OS: Windows 8.1 x64 Pro Preview
RAM: 4GB DDR3 Corsair PC3-10700H (667 MHz)
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster (1300x768 Pixels)
PSU Details:

I am a graphic designer and I have been in need of an extra GPU for my work purposes as I have been experiencing some issues with Adobe Photoshop & Adobe After Effects lately. My on board graphic specifications are not compatible with either of Photoshop or After Effects [Keeps flashing] and I tried to look for a solution on Adobe's forum and they stated this has to do with the compatibility issues of the programs with Windows 8 and later on combined with intel on board graphic accelerators. That leaves me with the only solution to go for a GPU. Now my budget is quite limited and considering where I live [Bangladesh], my choices are very shortened I'm afraid. After going through some discussions here on Tom's Hardware and shuffling through the available GPU products in my local market, I have two picks to go for,

My first pick is : SAPPHIRE HD6670 2GB DDR3 PCI-E HDMI / DVI-D / VGA (ROHS) LITE

Costs 6900 BDT [Approx. $90]

And the second one is Sapphire HD7750 1G GDDR5 PCI-E HDMI / DVI-I / DP FULL

This one costs 9700 BDT [Approx. $125]

Now the HD6670 is quite comfortable with my budget but the HD7750 is a bit overflowing. But if the later is better, I'd like to wait a bit and get the second one instead. Besides this, I would be really grateful if you could suggest me any more appropriate GPU suitable for my Photoshop & After Effects needs.

I really appreciate you going through this whole message and trying to sort out my issues. Thanks a lot in advance.

Best Regards,
A. Lincoln.

The latter (the Radeon HD 7750) is indeed better, and I'd say the difference in performance is indeed enough to justify waiting around to make up for the price difference.

Cheers!

HD 7750 is lot better. Buy it if you can. You didn't mention about the PSU you are using. That is a vital component.

Here is a comparison chart which will better tell the story : http://www.hwcompare.com/11733/radeon-hd-6670-oem-1gb-v...

I'm really sorry for that noob mistake but here is an image of the label on my PSU. Hope it helps.

Thanks a lot for the heads up mate. Appreciate your help. But I was wondering if you could suggest be a bit more on either one is being a perfect fit to both my budget and requirements [Graphic & Animation Works] or I should actually think of something else? If yes, what would it be ?

Thanks a lot again.

Your PSU is a non rated one, though it suggested that +12V rail delivers 19A current, so theoretically it will be able to run HD 7750. But I am not sure of that cause there is no guarantee actually how much AMPERE it will provide. That is the trouble with non-branded PSU's.

The good news is the above mentioned GPU consumes very little power to run, and wont need a PCI-E supplementary power cable. So I think it will be ok for you.

Thanks a lot for breaking down the gibberish PSU image to the Tee :D  And of course for the heads up about the selection. Just a little more, do you think the HD 7750 would be good enough to feed my graphics and animation requirements? Or should I be looking at something else?
Once again Thanks a lot mate and I really appreciate your help and time. Cheers.

Ok, look a HD 7750 will be sufficient for your work (Graphic & Animation Works). You have the liberty to look for a even better card, but it will depend on two things, is it available in your city, and do you have the budget. Sorry if I sound rude to you.

I would like to suggest you to buy a decent PSU if you can. XFX, Corsair, Seasonic, are amongst best. Even a Cooler Master will do. And if you want a modern day GPU then you have to upgrade the PSU first.
