Hello

I have a chance to buy a Power Mac G5 1.6 ghz (model A1047) for only 30 dollars. Is this a good deal?

I have some old software that I can still use for it, like Photoshop and other things.

Meh it's $30. As long as you don't want to use it to develop iOS apps (you can't even target IOS 5 without an Intel based Mac) you should be fine. Just keep in mind that if you're using an older version of Photoshop, you may have issues with opening files created in newer versions. Also you should look into alternative browsers for it or just install ubuntu for power pc :D

That is a great price. I saw this model selling for over $150.00 months ago.

Ubuntu is a Linux Distrobution. I think they may have dropped power PC support in there newer versions, but there are other distro's out there for power PC. Anyway you may want to check out the ubuntu wiki
