Is this SATA connector broken, or easily fixable?

In trying to remove one of my SATA power connectors from the drive it has fallen into two parts, the top clip and the bottom part with the pins. (This is the plug that supplies power, not the larger part which transfers data).

Even with a magnifying glass I can't tell if it snapped (I doubt there was enough pressure for it to snap - I didn't force it), or if I can push the two parts back together again - it looks like there are grooves and one should be able to push the top clip back into the base. But my eyes aren't what they were (none of me is, but no matter!) and I can't see well enough to be sure of this.

Could someone let me know about this please? The plug still goes into the drive and is held there by the pressure of the lead, but that's not ideal!

Thanks!

I had to read that a couple of times before I knew whether it was cable or hardware.
The cable, right? If so...replace it. You don't have a box of spares around?

monoprice.com - $0.50 each, in your favorite colors. Buy several.

And the large one is power, the small one is data.

Why had I always assumed that the smaller plug was the power? If the other way round, then it's the data connector (on the cable, yes, not the drive).
I can't locate any other spare plugs in there; I guess I have a spare somewhere, but the wiring is so tight it's going to be a pain (and I am the world's. least dexterous person, these days anyway).
So the plug broke, not just came apart (and is therefore repairable by slotting the top into the bottom)?
Thanks...

OK, well I simply replaced the cable (have a few spare). Had to remove the HDDs to access the port, but no matter. (I'll now be able to see if the old cable is broken or just came apart and can be fixed. It has a metal retaining clip, unlike the one I replaced it with).

Thanks for the suggestions..

Don't bother trying to fix it. As has already been said, they only cost 50 cents. Not worth the effort on a part that will prolly still be unreliable.
