on my desktop whilst browsing web I experience hangs/ freezes, the mouse sometimes vanishes or changes slightly and soemtimes i need to reboot. also during gaming i sometimes drop to 20fps in games where i would reach 60+ a reebot fixes these issues.
sometimes pc is fine for hours other times it does it a couple of times an hour.
I have just reinstalled my OS and reformated my drives to ensure no nasty software is on my PXC so I can rule that out.
the system info as following
asus sabretooh p67
i5 2500k
8gb corsair ram
gtx 560ti gpu
al above components are reasonably new
however my psu is 6 years old a coolermaster green.
and the hd's are a mix of 2,3,5 years old seagates hitachi's etc.
i have run memtest and found no error and also a disk check with no errors found.
Im trying to decide whether it might be software conflict or maybe my PSU.
or could it be that the drives are failing even though no errors were detected?
my OS and games run on seperate drives.
not sure what else to say. al drivers up to date..
