Psu Performance Increase

Hi,

I'm wondering if i upgrade my 350 watt power supply to a 600w thermaltake litepower PSU will it increase my performance and if i put in a 2 TB black caviar will it slow down my system?

my specs:

INTEL d915gav
INTEL pentium 3.0GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GT 430 1GB
ANTEC 350watt smartpower
2gb ram
Win 7 ultimate 32bit
2 medium size fans
1x 500gb blue caviar HDD


I know its not the best but it does the job

the reason i picked the 600w thermaltake is because i had it in my old computer and it ran better than my current computer which is strange since the only thing i changed in them is the power supply and motherboard everything else is from my old one and its annoying me since i cant play the same games i played on my old computer

I'm pretty sure my current setup is power starved Due to it being shit at playing games so i think ill just chuck a new PSU in and hope for the best if not guess im just gonna have build a new computer
