Should I buy a GTX 650 TI or GTX 295

Hi guys, I'm building a budget gaming rig out of a few spare parts here and there. Here are the complete specs.
-Core i7-920
-OEM X58 Mobo
- 8GB DDR3 RAM
-500GB HDD
Well, I'm going to upgrade the GPU which is currently a GTS 250. My power supply is a coolermaster GX 600W if my memory serves me right. So both are within my budget. Which one should I get?

Definitely go with the 650 Ti. Per nVidia, it requires less power and has much better specs to boot.

OFC 650 ti. It is much newer, has better architecture and more powerfull. Heats less and uses less energy. It can be OCed more too. So +1 for 650ti

So the newer architecture, less heat, higher efficiency and space for overclock kinda makes up for the higher amount of raw power of the GTX 295? Im assuming the GTX 295 has much higher raw power because its basically two GTX 275s right?

What is your budget? If it can stretch to 200 you can get this...http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1yjPA otherwise get this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YyBd. It has 2GB for all the newer games that need more memory.

Avoid the 295, its junk now. It doesn't have enough memory and it generates too much heat.

Even with a direct comparison the GTX650ti wins due to higher CUDA core count. Not to mention you need a hell of a PSU to run a GTX295...

If you can, push for a GTX650 ti BOOST 2GB. Considerably better.
