Hey guys,
So those who've been following me since my first post, I just realized some of my stocks were sold. So, I upped my budget. It's now MAX: $1,400. I need it to be at least 30fps HD AND 60fps HD. 120fps HD is also pretty much a necesity.

Please help!

Hi again, razerium! Sadly, you'd have to sell a lot more stock to buy a camcorder with full 1080p or 720p HD slow mo.

The next step up from the $499 FZ200's 720/120p is over $7000 more - the $7780 Sony NEX-FS700 and its fabulous 1080/120p and 1080/240p full resolution slow motion.

Here is what it can do at 120fps:

And at 240fps:

To the best of my knowledge, there is no camera between $1000 and $7000 with the ability to shoot full-resolution HD slow motion.

If you really need this capability, and don't want to spend $7000 plus for a camcorder, you can rent the FS700 (body only) for 3 days from borrowlenses.com for $429.95 (shipping included).

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful,

Bill

Oh. Okay then. So the Lumix FZ200 records 1080p 24fps, 1080p 60fps and 720p 120fps? I watched a video and it said that with the 120fps there's no sound and you cannot zoom in... Is there any way to change that? So with that being said, I have one last request... Could you build me a rig for around $900? Including shoulder mount, lcd screen, separate mic, like the real deal :D  And maybe if you could include (if possible) those microphones that are on a like a little crane, you showed it to me earlier I believe...
That'd be great! Ill vote you best answer on all my posts!

Thank you sooo much!

What you heard is correct. The camera doesn't zoom or record sound while shooting at 120fps - but I don't know of any solid state camera that records sound while overcranking.

And you'll have to use the articulating LCD to compose, frame and focus because the camera doesn't provide live HDMI while recording - so you won't need an external recorder.

And you won't need the "follow focus" seen on a lot of DSLR rigs because the FZ200's autofocus works just fine.

So I recommend:

Panasonic DMC-FZ200, $488 from buydig via eBay (only a few left at this price)
Photography & Cinema Prime Video shoulder rig, $260 from Amazon
Kamerar MAX 1.1 Matte Box, $150 from Amazon
Hosa GPM-467 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for standard mics, $4 from Amazon
Hoodman HD300 to wrap around your articulated LCD in sunlight, $25 from Amazon
If you want "good enough" amateur sound:
Rode Videomic "Pro", $229 from Amazon
If you want better sound with the ability to put your mic on a boom later (a la Hollywood):
Audio Technica AT897 Pro Mic, $210 from Amazon
Campro Deluxe Shock Mount, $29 from HD Toys via eBay
WindTech SG-1 foam windscreen, $32 from Adorama
WindTech MM-101 MicMuff for outdoors, $30 from Adorama
Hosa MIT-156 pro XLR to consumer 3.5mm transformer/adapter, $17 from Amazon
For real professional sound:
JuicedLink Riggy Assist Preamp w headphone jack & meters, $399 from Amazon
Audio Technica AT875R Pro Mic, $156 from Amazon
WindTech MM-25 Mic Muff, $30 from Amazon
Campro Deluxe Shock Mount, $29 from HD Toys via eBay

I also recommend a couple of books, one for video, one for sound:

How to Shoot Video that Doesn't Suck, $10 from Amazon

The Location Sound Bible: How to Record Professional Dialog for Film and TV, $15 from Amazon

Good luck!

Could you re-produce this build for me? Apparently it costs around $1,000... You can change some parts around obviously, but I'd like it to look like this:

You're the only reasonable person here!
Please??

Please??

PS: I like your website, except I'd change the design of it. Make it more user friendly with some tabs etc.

THANK YOU!
