hi

my mom has a brand new laptop (Samsung NP270E5E-K02IL) that is always plugged to the wall socket so the battery is always in "charging" mode and always full.

from what I understand - this, in time, wears the battery.
this is bad because one day (in a few years) I would attempt to sell this laptop (with a functional battery)

what is best to do when it comes to battery life span ? I was thinking of taking the battery out and storing it in the closet until the time come to sell it.
maybe fully charge it - then store it in the closet.

Solution
Take the battery out. Use it say once a quarter until down to 10% and then fully charge and remove again.

My Fujitsu laptop battery is now 4 years old and still good as new doing this, holding a 100% charge.
