I wanted to come in at around a grand, and this fits the bill quite nicely. Thoughts on the build? The only query I have is that will the FX6300 bottleneck the HD7870? I'm worried that I won't get max performance out of this rig due to that.

What sort of performance would I be looking at with this rig anyway? (First time builder :) ).

Thanks :)

As was stated pretty much any FX CPU won't bottleneck any modern GPU. However I would switch out that RAM - it would be better to go with something from G.Skill, Corsair, or Crucial if they are available in Australia. You might also want to consider a GTX 760 over a Radeon 7870. Otherwise that rig looks pretty good, I say go for it.

The fx wont botleneck anything, its a good cpu, probably yhe best value for money.
The build is as good as it can be, you are dead on.
Will max most recent games at 1080p with no problem. (a part from AA and ultra effects ofcourse)
