Dear Sir,

I have only two ram slots on my mobo(1xGB= 2GB in total).

I'm using Windows 7 64bit Ultimate.

I had purchased a 4GB USB drive v2.0 that fully accepted the READYBOOST feature.

Recently I purchased a 8GB, but only 4GB could be accepted.

But, strangely enough when I put the 4GB and 8GB usb's then READYBOOST starting to use the 4GB and 8GB half 4GB - USB's same make with fast read write BTW.

So, and I guessed it was worked on both, as windows would not allow me to change there names in ''my computer''.

What have I done wrong with the new 8GB or is it that I have to use separate 4GB USB Drives?

I have checked on the net but can't seem to get a reliable answer.

Kind regards, Jonathan

Readyboost is not a substitute for system ram. No amount of readyboost will fix your performance issues. Your 2gb is just too small for 64 bit windows.
Go to a ram vendor web site and access their ram configurator. enter your mobo or pc model and you will get a list of compatible ram kits.
Buy a 2 x4gb kit.
