Exposed wiring from SATA cable. Will electrical tape be safe to wrap it up with? PC is working fine otherwise. Picture inside.

Hello. I did my first build, and one of my sata cables broke when I removed it from my SSD. That ripped off part of the cable and exposed the metal wiring. I didn't need all the plugs on that cable, so I just hooked up the rest and ignored it (Yes, in hindsight that was a horrible idea). The PC has been running fine for days, but I'm still nervous about those wires. How should I fix this? Do I Will wrapping electrical tape around it help? Thank you.

Obviously with the power off. Just wrap each wire individually with electrical tape. You really just don't want them to touch each other or earth out on the case at any time while its powered up.
if its a modular PSU then you probably should replace the cable. If not then I think it will be fine as long as its just the sleeving that has been damaged.

Mactronix :)
