Firstly, let me say that Cool n' Quiet is off.
Okay, so my CPU fan randomly goes berzerk and decides to blow at 100% ever so often for no reason. I'm monitoring the temps with PC Meter.
The temperature is not even close to the hysteresis point, as the fan ramps up at any random temperature, whether it is at idle temps(45 degrees celcius) while I am doing absolutely nothing...or while closer to 55 when I'm doing stuff. It doesn't matter what's being done/what temperature it is, it just randomly spikes to 100% fan speed.
It's set to stock speeds, no overclocking of anything.
Anyone has any ideas of what could be causing it?
Some more information:
Setup:
GPU: XFX HD 7870 Double D
Mobo: ASRock 870Xtreme
RAM: 2 x 2GB G.skill ddr3 1600mhz
PSU: corsair tx650w
