So I was attempting to setup a vpn between windows and my android phone. When I changed the ip to static and changed the DNS settings i got limited connectivity. I'm pretty sure it was a bad DNS, but ALL devices on my network lost connection. I changed the settings back on my computer but still couldnt connect to the router. eventually had to reset it. working fine now but how the &#@% does changing ip setting on my computer bring down the network??? My computer isnt even connected via ethernet. I'm waiting to setup the vpn til i can figure out what the flippidy-flop is going on with my junk...
