I have a genuine windows 7 running on a dell XPX machine. From last few months I am havin a weird problem. While starting system takes nearly 20 minutes to boot. I format it each and every time to solve it for some time it will work fine but after some days problem comes again. My dell software detected harddrive problem. But i checked a lot of time there are no bad sectors. Can any one please help me.

It looks like Samsung HDDs are made by Seagate: http://samsunghdd.seagate.com/

Dowwnload and run the Seagate "Seatools" for Windows: http://www.seagate.com/support/internal-hard-drives/desktop-hard-drives/barracuda/

It could be the BIOS on the HDD. Bad Sectors are not the only thing that can go wrong with a HDD and HDD BIOS problems can be nasty to diagnose as they can be so unpredictable. Replace with a SSD to get a massive performance boost if the drive needs replacing.

What software are you using to check the hard drive? Windows chkdsk might not catch bad sectors if the hard drive controller is silently remapping them, but an increasing count of remapped sectors (one of the parameters the SMART system built into hard drives tracks) will cause diagnostic software to detect a failing hard drive.
