Is this a decent first build?

Now that my main questions have been answered, how is this rig for a mid-range first pc?

Looks good and that rig will be able to handle most any game you want to play. Most will be able to play at high/ultra with no real problems at all. I think you will find it more of a mid-high end rig rather than a mid range.

My OS should be win8. i never really had problems with windows 8, just putting on a fake start button and boom. win7. Its nice to know that this is a capable machine. Compared to the asus n550 i was looking at for xmas (laptop) this is basically double the performance for the same price. Also, since it's split into many parts, it's better on the wallet!
