I'm pretty confused by the new RM series vs. the HX series. It seems to me that the RM might be better yet Corsair claims that the RM is only to replace the TX. Does anybody have any insight on this matter?

While we are at it, does anybody have any insight into the RM vs. the AX series?

Thanks!

I'm not too familiar with them but looks like the AX is top of line platinum power, and HX and RM are both gold. Seems as though the RM are more designed to be low noise. Thats just what I see by looking at them.

Ok, so would you then say that the RM may in fact be superior to the HX?

I know that Corsair claims that the HX is still better, but I guess my question is exactly what makes the HX better than the RM? The silent mode and the fully modular capabilities seem to me to make the RM superior to the HX, Corsair's marketing claims notwithstanding.

I like the AX series not the AXi , except for the 1200w AX , the rest of the AX series is made by Seasonic.

The RM series is made by Channel well and Chicony , and until they have a track record I wouldn't buy one.

The original HX Series was made by Seasonic and was decent.
