Ok so I have an ASUS vivobook S550CM & my HDD crashed because the laptop fell on the floor. I am in a different country than where the dealer is so forget about my warranty... I had to purchase a new HD to replace the old one. The old one was 750 GB the new one is 1TB, when I place the new HD and boot from the recovery drive I go through the screens to reset my PC and it tells me that I have a missing partition. What shoud I do? Please help! I do not want to lose the Windows 8 license that came with my laptop I just don't want to pay for it again.

ok either contact ausu and get a copy of the system that was installed on your pc laptop which will cost some money or just download your os from microsoft and deal with finding the drivers so it works... did you ever make back ups of your system most computer makers as you to do this when you buy a system its a fail safe incase this happens?
