There are several things that could mean, I would first recommend taking everything out of the case and putting the motherboard onto a box with just 1 stick of ram your processor, and try using your stock heat sink for the first post if you are having problems with your first post. Then disconnect anything that doesn't necessarily need to be connected in order for your computer to boot, hard drive, video card, and headers, just have your motherboard on the cardboard box that it came in. then try to see if it posts. Since I don't feel like typing a crazy long list reefer over to this link for msi motherboard diagnostic http://service.msicomputer.com/html/popup/techsup/TroubleSt.html fairly old but still has tons of useful information

I left only LC pomp connected to PSU and RAM on motherborad. Motherboard still does not react when I push power button.

Switching bios to second one did not help. Motherboard still does not react.

I think that LC cpu block was correctly installed. I'm sending motherboard to MSI.

I have the same problem - it happens when I unplug the computer completely from power. When I try to boot again the led on the power switch on the board lights up, but nothing at all happens when I try to boot, no fans or anything. When it is like this the red and blue leds of the OC Switch leds are both on.

It will be ok again if I unplug and wait for the mobo lights to die away, then unlug the main mobo power cable and plug back in, turn on, then boot fine. The red and blue leds are off when I power on again.

I have a similar experience to Sammyballoo. I'm only using the z87 mpower. Nothing over clocked yet. I have both 8 pin power connectors plugged in like the manual states is required for everything to function properly. I've been using it for 4 days now. During my build, I noticed it powered itself off. Pressing the power buttin on my case or mobo did nothing. I managed to figure out if I remove power to the power supply, remove the CMOS battery, and let the capacitors discharge for about 1 minute, it powered back on after I replaced the battery and power.

Then again tonight, on day 4 of use, I got a BSOD and the system powered off. This time I've been unable to get it powered back on. I've tried the same steps as you all and have tried every combination of hardware I can think of. I'm going to let the mobo sit with all power disconnected for the night. If it doesn't power back on, I'll be returning the mobo to the store for a replacement.

I'm curious to know how many other people are having this or similar power problems. If I end up calling MSI tomorrow for troubleshooting, I'll give an update as to what they said.

I promised an update, so here it is.

After leaving the power disconnected from the mobo last night and all day today, I returned home from work with my fingers crossed for luck. I attempted to power on my system again. This time there was a slight change, the fans started spinning, things sounded like they were starting to boot. The Debug Code on the mother board even showed numbers 62, but the system would not POST. After looking through the manual and searching the internet for about 30 minutes, I was unable to determine what code 62 meant.

I called MSI and explained everything to them. They said code 62 is a chipset failure code. Sometimes a faulty power supply or only having a single 8-pin CPU power cable plugged in instead of both would cause this. The guy suggested I try swapping my power supply and if that didn't change anything then they would RMA my motherboard.

I didn't have another PS to test with, so I decided to take my chances and take the mobo back to Fry's for a replacement. They swapped it out after I explained what was wrong and then I came home to install.

After I installed everything all over again... I powered on the system and.... DUN-DUN-DUNNNNN.... She powered on and booted right up as I expected.

Moral of the story... RMA the board. It's a mobo chipset problem. Hope this helps someone down the road.

Cheers!
