I have a extra Crucial 256 SSD that will fit in a laptop. I want to remove the spacer so I can install the SSD in my Acer notebook. I was abel to remove the spacer but then the screws that hold the SSD together are to long. I contacted Crucial and they told me they don't have the shorter screws to reduce the SSD to a 7mm. More or less they want me to buy a new one. Does anyone know were I can order the shorter screws to reduce the SSD to a 7mm?

You need #6-32 screws. You probably need 6-32 x 5mm. If those are still too long then use 6-32 x 4mm.
